Finalising Installation – Test Drive Checklist
The test drive is used to ensure all moving parts are fixed and operating correctly. The following procedure must only be done once the vehicle is completely finished and has been checked via the pre-test drive inspection.

Vehicle placed in park and 4L button switched
Module did NOT allow shift
4H remained illuminated
Diff lock button pressed
Diff lock could NOT be engaged
Connections checked if system allowed shifting
Issue resolved before continuing

Vehicle driven in 4H up to 100 km/hr
No abnormal noises detected
Fluid levels monitored
Temperature monitored
Any faults repaired before continuing
3. 4L Operation

Vehicle stopped on flat surface
Vehicle placed in neutral
4L button pressed
4L light illuminated
Vehicle driven in low range
No abnormal noise detected
No abnormal vibration detected
4. Diff Lock Operation

Vehicle moved to loose surface test area
Vehicle stopped safely on flat surface
Vehicle placed in neutral
Diff lock engaged
Diff lock light illuminated
Vehicle driven in low range with centre diff locked
Vehicle stopped and returned to neutral
4H selected
Diff lock operation confirmed normal
Diff lock disengaged on the fly
Vehicle returned to workshop for hoist inspection
5. Final Inspection

No fluid leaks present
No moving parts touching
No electrical line rubbing
No brake line rubbing
Tell-tale bolt head paint marks unchanged
Select fastener torque tightness tests performed
